How to Give Yourself a Spa Facial at Home
Imagine yourself having a relaxing weekend at home, with all chores done by the lovely husband, no office deadlines to need, and children off to grandma. When else could be the best time to pamper yourself? Going to the spa seems like a hassle, then why not bring the spa experience to your home?
Here are some of the steps to get the best Spa facial at home:
Step.1. Prepare yourself
Tie up that beautiful mane of yours and wear a headband or a towel so that those strands of hair don’t come in the way. It’s also best to come in an old t-shirt or a bath gown as sometimes these products do get messy. Place all the essential items listed below, near you so that you don’t have to run looking for stuff. Light up those scented candles you bought online at a discount and turn on your favorite Spotify playlist.
Step.2. Cleanse that beautiful face
Start with cleansing away any makeup, dirt, or oil from your face. simply wet your face then apply a gentle cleanser on your palm, rub both hands to create foam and gently apply to your face in a circular motion, make sure to clean each itsy bitsy corner of the face. Now wash your face with cold water.
Step.3. Tone down with a Toner
Now apply a refreshing toner to complete the cleansing process. Apply a small amount of good quality toner onto the cotton pad and gently apply it to your face.
Step.4. What a steaming hot face you have
Now is the time to use steam on your face, it is 100% recommended to use steam to open up those tiny pores on your face before proceeding to the next step. it’s best to buy a small facial steamer for yourself as these steamer dont usually cost much and they save you a lot of time and effort. but you can also DIY it, just boil some water in a pot, remove from the stove and place your face near it (be cautious). do it for 3 to 4 minutes, with short breaks in between.
Step.5. Exfoliate that dead skin
now once the steamer has done its job, some good quality exfoliator will help you remove away all the dead skin trapped on your face. Be sure to use a good quality, gentle exfoliator as these things are notorious for damaging the skin. remember to never overdo it, a gentle message is more than enough.
Step.6. Mask it up!
now comes the best part, apply your favorite facial mask, sit back, and RELAX…… isn’t it the best feeling ever? remove it after 20 minutes.
Step.7. Use a Serum
If you have used a sheet mask in the previous step then no need to add additional serum, but if you have used powder or liquid masks, always apply a rejuvenating serum to brighten the skin up.
Step.8. Give it the moisture it needs!
now it’s the final step to message in the perfect moisturizer you have been wanting to use for a while. Gently apply it to your face in a circular motion. Also, you can apply some eye cream if you face dark circles or puffy under the eyes.
